LAS VEGAS (AP) — Allegiant Air is reporting no cancellations and three delays among its 187 flights Thursday while it inspects emergency exit slides on its fleet of MD-80 aircraft.

Company spokeswoman Jessica Wheeler says just one flight — between Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in Arizona and Bismarck Airport in North Dakota — was delayed more than a couple of hours.

Wheeler says at least 37 of Allegiant's fleet of 52 MD-80s are back in service.

About 10 percent of Allegiant passengers endured cancellations last weekend, after the airline grounded MD-80s until each exit chute was overhauled to meet manufacturer's recommendations.

Las Vegas-based Allegiant Travel Co. began the effort after a smoke alarm aboard an aircraft led to the emergency evacuation of an Allegiant flight in Las Vegas on Sept. 16. No one was hurt.
