Alleged Drunk Driver Crashes into School Bus

ST. CLOUD – St. Cloud police say a man drove his vehicle into the back of a school bus.

The incident happened just before 5:00 p.m. yesterday (Friday) in the 2600 block of Clearwater Road.

Officers say 72-year-old Harold Gross ran into the bus while it was stopped and had it’s lights activated.  There were nine kids on the bus at the time and they were at the front of the bus preparing to get off.

Gross is believed to be under the influence of alcohol, and is expected to be charged with gross misdemeanor criminal vehicular operation and misdemeanor DUI.

Gross and one of the kids suffered minor injuries.
