RICE - Some good news for motorists, all lanes and ramps of Highway 10 and local roads in Rice are open.

The roads opened at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, signifying the end of major construction on the Highway 10-County Road 2 interchange project that started in July last year.

Remaining work now includes installing rumble strips, building the noise wall and cleanup. This work will be completed by November 29th.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says motorists will find improved traffic flow and easier access to local roads in Rice.

The Highway 10-County Road 2 interchange project is expected to increase safety and efficiency by replacing a signal intersection with an interchange. The interchange design should also reduce costs while providing easier access to businesses in Rice.
