All Great River Libraries Will be Closed Next Tuesday

ST. CLOUD -- All 32 libraries in the Great River Regional Library system will be closed next Tuesday.

The system is implementing the first of it's two unpaid staff furlough days.  The second furlough day will be on October 10th.

They say furloughs are necessary because the system's operating budget has been reduced for two consecutive years -- for 2011 it's almost $300,000 less than in 2009.

This is the second year for the furlough program at the Great River Regional Library.
