Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Minden Township for Alice M. Middendorf, age 88, who passed away Tuesday at her home. Rev. Michael Wolfbauer will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Monday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids.

Alice was born July 2, 1928 in St. Martin to Mathias and Elizabeth (Kirchner) Mehr. She married Ben Middendorf on Feb. 17, 1947 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond. Alice worked as a seamstress at Stearns Manufacturing for 17 years and was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and breakfast at McDonald’s. Family and church were very important to Alice. She was a friendly, kind, humorous and loving woman.

Survivors include her children, Cindy (Brenda) Merten of Cottage Grove, Judy (George) Omann of Albertville, Carol (Mike) Binczik of Lincoln, NE, Betty (Tom) McKay of Little Falls, Donna Meyer of St. Cloud, Gary of Idaho Falls, ID, Irene (Ivan) Kaeter of Sauk Rapids, Leon (Michelle) of Big Lake, Les (Beth) of Lincoln, NE, John (Brenda) of Monticello and Mark of St. Cloud; son-in-law, Floyd Neuman of St. Cloud; brother-in-law, Ray (Armella) Middendorf; 24 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ben on Dec. 30, 2008; daughter, Sue Neuman; and siblings, Agnes, Frank, Rose, Marcus, Sylvester, Robert, Ruth and Alphonse.
