Alexandria Blanks River Bats 5-0

The Alexandria Beetles beat the St. Cloud River Bats 5-0 Wednesday night to hand the Bats their 3rd straight loss.  St. Cloud managed just 6 hits with Andy Henkemeyer and Jeremy Banks each getting 2 of them.  Casey Shiver threw a complete-game 6-hit shutout for Alexandria.  Mike Iannazzo threw 6 innings with 6 hits and 3 earned runs allowed to take the loss.

The Bats are 15-14 in the 2nd half of the season and are 5 1/2 games back of Alexandria for first place in the 2nd half North Division standings.  St. Cloud will host Thunder Bay tonight beginning a 3-game series at 7:05, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 6:35.

It's Minnesota Vikings Night at the ballpark tonight.  The River Bats will be wearing football style uniforms.
