Alan Clair Trunk, 73, Princeton

August 9, 1941 - February 16, 2015

Alan Clair Trunk, age 73 of Princeton passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 in St. Cloud, MN. He was born on August 9, 1941 in Princeton the son of Clair and Muriel (Dressel) Trunk. He graduated from Princeton High School and then served his country in the United States Navy. Alan attended St. Cloud State University and taught classes at Barnum High School. He retired at the age of 62. Alan loved sports and knew many sports statistics. He will be dearly missed by many.

Alan is survived by his sister Jean Trunk of St. Cloud; aunts and uncles, Bob(Phyllis) Trunk, Joe (Kay) Trunk, David (Marlene) Trunk, Mildred Trunk, Marvel Trunk, Helen Bergmann all of Princeton, and Kathryn (Whalen) Stay of Baudette; along with many cousins, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; uncles, Loren Trunk, Edward Trunk, Howard Dressel, Lowell Dressel and Gordon Dressel; aunts Delores Balfanz, Adeline Timmer, Mary Anderson, Vera Dressel and Edith Dressel.

A Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM Friday, February 20, 2015 at Christ Our Light Catholic Parish – North Campus Princeton with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Visitation will be held 5-7 PM Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Christ Our Light Catholic Parish – North Campus Princeton with a prayer service beginning at 5PM. Interment will take place in St. Edwards Catholic Cemetery, Princeton.
