Alan C. Medeck, 67, St. Cloud

December 10, 1948 - February 27, 2016

A Gathering will be from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids for Alan C. Medeck, 67 of St. Cloud who died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday at Cherrywood Advanced Living in St. Cloud. The Celebration of Alan’s Life will continue at Jimmy’s Pour House in Sauk Rapids.

Alan Carl Medeck was born on December 12, 1948 in St. Cloud to Clarence and Eugenia (Maurer) Medeck. He served his country in the United States Army and on December 23, 1969 he married Patricia “Patty” Studer in Switzerland while stationed overseas. Alan worked as a carpenter and was a member of the Local 9:30 Carpenters and Joiners Union. He enjoyed hunting, his ’57 Chevy, riding his motorcycle and attending neighborhood bonfires. Alan was known for his unique and funny t-shirts that he always wore. He was hardworking, loyal, generous and an honest man who loved to have fun.

Survivors include his loving wife, Patty of St. Cloud; daughter and son, Enid Archer of Corcoran and Chris (Teri) Medeck of Eagan; grandchildren, Zoe and Eli Medeck; mother, Eugenia Medeck of Rice; and brothers and sister, Daniel of Rice, Tim of Rice and Darla (Chuck) Johnson of Perham. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence.
