Air Clears In Benton County Trailer Theft

FOLEY -- The Benton County Sheriff's Office says you can lower your nose as they've found a stolen manure spreader.

The Gehl brand spreader was stolen from a Foley farm in the 10000 block of 25th Sreet Northeast, on January 23rd. The suspect's vehicle in the theft was described as an older model Ford truck.

Sheriff Troy Heck says, thanks to an anonymous caller, authorities were able to locate the stolen trailer on a farm in St. George Township.

"This is another example of the public and law enforcement working together to keep Benton County safe."

The trailer was returned to the owner. Heck says this case remains open and active.
