A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am at Country Manor Nursing Home Chapel, Sartell, for Agnes M. Thomas who died Wednesday, January 27th. Family and friends may call from 9:00 - 10:00am at the Country Manor Nursing Home Chapel on Saturday February 13th. The Reverend Laurn Virnig will officiate. Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN. Arrangements entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Agnes was born to the late John M. and Agnes M. (Dettenthaler) Cahill in Detroit, Michigan.
She married the love of her life, Emmett E. Thomas on January 31, 1948 at St. Mary’s of Redford Catholic Church in Detroit, Michigan. Her calling in life was caregiving, beginning with her younger siblings and later her children, friends of her children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and those she considered to be like grandchildren. She took tremendous pleasure in supporting those she loved as they pursued their dreams. After 22 years of golfing and tennis in retirement in Florida, she and her husband moved to Sartell where she met and enjoyed many friends at Country Villa (you know who you are!) She was a mentor, supporter, advisor, event planner, comedian, cheerleader, and organizer -- and one heck of a pinochle player.

Agnes is survived by her children: Richard (Kathy), Calgary, Alberta, CA; Mike (Kathy), Richmond, VA; Kathy (Jim) Parsons, St. Cloud; siblings Jim Cahill (Jean) of New Port Richey, Florida, Anne Andries of New Port Richey, Florida, Mary Connolly of (Westland, MI,) and Patrish Cahill of (Ann Arbor, MI); grandchildren, Jessica, Melissa, Kelle, Kaci, Dean, Clay, and Drew; great-grandchildren Taylor, Summer and Brody. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings Bud, Robert and Kathy.

Memorials to Big Brothers and Big Sisters preferred.
