Addie was born on April 4, 1943 to Nicholas and Magdalene (Bueckers) Garding on the family farm in St. Martin, MN. In 1964, as a young adult, she moved to St. Cloud to begin working at the St. Cloud Hospital. She was united in marriage to Ralph Boecker on June 18, 1966 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church; they recently celebrated their 50th Anniversary. Their union was blessed with six children. As Addie raised their family, she worked at home as a day care provider and was lovingly known by all her families as “Grandma Addie.” She later returned to work at the St. Cloud Hospital in the Family Birthing Center until her retirement in 2012. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

She was a loving wife and mother, and will always be known for her caring heart, kindness, and patience. Addie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, canning, playing cards, setting puzzles, as well as watching the Minnesota Twins, and the Wheel of Fortune.

Addie is survived by her husband, Ralph; children, Wendy (Chad) Kathol, Tim (Becky Fister), Amy (Tony) Dingmann, Sam (Laura), Sally (Justin Frieler) Boecker; 11 grandchildren, six siblings and their spouses, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sarah; grand-daughter, Aubyn Kathol; brother-in-law, Eddie Ebensteiner and nephew, Tom Ebensteiner.

A special thank you to the staff of the Coborn Cancer Center and Centra Care Hospice for their loving care over the years
