Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Adeline E. Then, age 85, who passed away Wednesday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids. Rev. Greg Leiser and Rev. LeRoy Scheierl will officiate and burial will be at Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Saturday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Adeline was born Aug. 7, 1928 in White Lake, SD to John & Anna (Weires) Janson. She married Alois Then on June 30, 1953 in Mayhew Lake. The couple made their home in St. Cloud where she cared for her family. She was a devoted life-long member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church where she was a member of the Christian Women and Legion of Mary. She was a proud volunteer for St. Peter’s Church and School; supporting her strong faith. She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary. Adeline enjoyed gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her sons, Joseph (Beverly) of St. Cloud and Robert (Debbie) of Sartell; five grandchildren, Sarah, Laura, Brianna, David, and Michael; sisters, Hildagard Grundhoefer of St. Cloud and Rosanna Leither of Sauk Rapids; sisters-in-law, Geri Janson of St. Cloud, Rita Janson of Sauk Rapids, Lorraine Janson of Foley, and Betty Janson of Mayhew Lake. Adeline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alois on Oct. 3, 2009; sisters, Magdalen Janson and Marie Steiner; and brothers, John, Bernard, Edward, and Albert Janson.
