Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014 at St. James Catholic Church in Jacobs Prairie, MN for Adele K. Butorac, age 83, who died Friday at her home.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the church. Arrangements are with the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring, MN.

Adele was born in Staples, MN to Timothy and Edith (Thorne) Rollins. She married Frank Butorac on September 17, 1949 in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby, MN. Frank and Adele, were 55 year residents of Crystal and St. Raphael’s parish. Adele (also known as the cake lady) enjoyed baking, knitting, and shopping. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their many sporting events and activities. Adele was a member of St. James Parish and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Frank; children, Kaye, Tim (Jan), Teri (Matt) Butorac-Lee, Sue (Mike) Nistler, Joe, Tricia (Brian) Gutknecht, Francie (Gary) Jossart, and sister, Corinne (Lee) Lauer; 16 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and son-in-law, Tim O’Rourke.
