ST. JOSEPH - Actress Geena Davis is coming to the College of St. Benedict.

The Academy Award-winning actor will deliver the 2014 Renaissance Series lecture on Tuesday, February 25th.  She will discuss "Gender Equality in the Media".  The speech will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Gorecki Dining and Conference Center. The event is free and open to everyone.

Davis won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in "The Accidental Tourist", and was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe for her role as Thelma in "Thelma and Louise".

She is also a world-class athlete, one time being ranked as high as 13th in the nation in archery.
