Academy Award Nominee To Film Near Big Lake This Weekend

BIG LAKE - An Academy Award nominated actor is apparently going to be filming in our listening area this weekend. Tom Berenger is scheduled to be in the Big Lake area working on the movie "Wunderland".

The movie's Facebook group says Berenger is playing the role of Major McCulley and will be on set on Friday and Saturday. The production office is at 611 Rose Drive in Big Lake, and the shooting location is on County Road 75 in Big Lake - a few miles north of town.

Extras who take part on Friday and Saturday won't get paid, but you have the chance to work along side Berenger. People who work on Sunday and Monday will get paid $50 a day. You need to be available from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Wunderland is set at Christmas 1944.
