Charges expected in fatal Willmar stabbing
by The Associated Press

WILLMAR -- Charges are expected Tuesday against a 17-year-old boy suspected in the stabbing death of a Willmar man.

Kandiyohi County Attorney Boyd Beccue says prosecutors were still meeting with police investigators Monday and had not decided on specific charges against the teen.

Beccue says prosecutors also were waiting for police reports and the juvenile's criminal history, before deciding whether they'll try to move the case from juvenile to adult court.

The teen is being held at Prairie Lakes Youth Programs, where he was taken after he and another 17-year-old were arrested by Willmar Police.

The other 17-year-old has been released.

Police say 21-year-old Adam Kenneth Milton was stabbed after a fight. Milton was found lying on the lawn near an apartment building and was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Milton played football for the Ridgewater College Warriors.
