DOVER -- A southeastern Minnesota woman is accused of hitting her brother-in-law with a hatchet in a dispute about cows.
Olmsted County prosecutors have filed two counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon against 35-year-old Brenda K. Shorter.
The alleged attack happened last week in Dover Township.
Court records say Shorter told deputies she ``just lost control'' and struck the man on the head. A current phone listing for Shorter wasn't available.
The alleged victim told officers he had a dispute with the woman over how he treated his cows.
