Sox punch back, beat Twins at Dome
by The Associated Press

MINNEAPOLIS -- Carlos Quentin had a homer and four RBIs as the White Sox beat the Twins 8-3 in their big series at the Dome.

Minnesota could have gained first place in the AL Central with a win. But Quentin and pitcher Gavin Floyd made sure that Chicago stayed atop the division. Floyd held the Twins to five hits and one run over 7 2-3 innings.

Quentin hit his homer off Twins starter Livan Hernandez, who took the loss.

Minnesota won the first two games of the series. Game Four is tonight at 7:10 when Scott Baker takes the hill for Minnesota against the Sox' John Danks.
