The Early Morning Newswatch
with Bob Hughes

I was raised in SW MN (notice I didn’t say “grew up”, because that still is an on-going process!) on a quarter section farm.

I went to one of the last country schools in Delhi, MN.  There were 3 other kids in my class.  I graduated from Belview HS with a MUCH larger class of 22.

The education & athletic opportunities were fantastic, and I wouldn’t trade those days for anything.

I attended Brown Institute, and have been on the air since 1977.

I also squandered 9 months of education at THEE University of North Dakota, and still hold The Fighting Sioux in high regard.  I hope the nickname never changes, and don’t understand why anyone would want it to.

I’m an avid reader of all things except technical manuals and instructions, and also am learning how to think like a fish, so I can catch more of them.  It is an ongoing process, which would be much easier if I could hold my breath longer…

I love the blues and REAL R&B music.

I have 3 grown daughters and 5 grandchildren that are the cutest and the smartest, hands down.  My apologies to all other grandparents; I’m sure your kids did the best they could.
