Central Minnesota could use a little rain
by Jim Maurice, WJON.com

UNDATED -- After our cool wet spring it's hard to believe, but we actually could use a little rain.

Weather experts say about 25-percent of the state is now listed as being "abnormally dry" -- with most of the dry area right here in Central Minnesota.

Officially at the St. Cloud Regional Airport we've had just over an inch of rain this month -- that's about half what we normally get for July.

We're also almost an inch-and-a-half below normal for the summer.

The good news is, after two consecutive summers of drought, no part of Minnesota is under drought conditions so far this year.
