Audio tour in the works for St. Cloud's historic homes
by Jim Maurice, WJON.com

ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud is planning on becoming the first city in Minnesota to offer an audio walking tour of it's most historic sites.

Tammy Campion is with the Heritage Preservation Commission. She says they're still in the early stages of the project, but they want to include about 30 sites, along a 2 1/2 mile tour.   They're hoping to get the homeowners to participate by recording the information about their home.

St. Cloud has been awarded a $7,000 grant to get the audio tour started, the grant requires that they have it up and running by June of next year.

Campion says you'll be able to rent an iPod from the city with the information on it, or you'll be able to go to the city's website and download the information for yourself.

Campion says New Ulm is also working on a similar project.
