Sauk Rapids taking next step in creating "quiet zones" at railroad crossings

SAUK RAPIDS -- If everything goes as expected tonight, Sauk Rapids residents should see the first two railroad crossings in town go silent by October.
City Engineer Terry Wotzka says the council will be asked to approve going out for bids on the Fisher's Park and 10th Street North crossings.
Wotzka says they are still studying the South Broadway and Second Avenue crossings and hope to report back to the council May 27th on the feasibility of silencing those crossings.
