MetroBus offers free summer youth passes again this year
by Lee Voss, WJON.com

ST. CLOUD -- MetroBus is again bringing back the free youth passes for the summer.

Spokesman Tom Cruikshank says they have found it to be extremely successful. He says when they first offered the youth passes at a cost, they saw only 85 passes sold. But, since they began offering them for free, the number of riders has grown to about three-thousand per year.

The passes are available starting today and will go into effect starting June First.

They are good for kids 17 and younger and a parent must sign a permission form. Also, kids 11 and under must ride with someone 12 or older.
