St. Cloud Wal-Mart, Sam's Club to close when Sartell stores open

ST. CLOUD -- Since the announcement of the new Wal-Mart and Sam's Club stores coming to Sartell, a lot of you have been wondering what will happen to the stores currently in St. Cloud.

We now have the answer to that question.

Wal-Mart spokeswoman Lisa Nelson says the company plans to close both stores, and sell the buildings. She says the company has it's own realty division, and they will aggressively sell the properties as quickly as possible.

Construction of the new Sartell Wal-Mart and Sam's Club is scheduled to begin in the spring, and they should be open in early 2010.
