Spotted bear activity has picked up in Central Minnesota. I reported yesterday black bears were seen on trail cameras in Cold Spring early this week. I received more confirmation of bear activity from a WJON listener in Cold Spring who sent me this photo taken from a trail camera.

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) and the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office are seeking the public’s help locating a wanted fugitive.

Black bears continue to be active in Central Minnesota. Glen Schmitt from Outdoor News joined me on WJON. He says he's heard reports of bears on trail cameras in the Cold Spring area. Schmitt says this isn't the first time bears have been reported in Cold Spring and suspects it won't be the last.
