Reporter’s Notebook: Visit to San Antonio Worth the Trip

This past weekend I took a vacation in the beautiful city of San Antonio, Texas. It was my first visit to the city, in fact it was the first time I had ever been in the state of Texas. From the time I booked my trip I have heard nothing but great things about the city from others that have been there before, so I was anxious to see it for myself. The city did not disappoint me.

Reporter’s Notebook: Is Facebook Ruining Your Class Reunion?

I was reading an article a couple of week's ago about how Facebook is ruining class reunions. Last weekend I had a chance to put that theory to the test for myself. It was my classes 25th reunion (yes, if you do the math I graduated in 1987), and it was also my town's all-school reunion.

Reporter’s Notebook: Fond Memories of Independence Days Gone By

The Fourth of July always has been one of my favorite holidays. I'm not sure why but its probably because my small hometown of Maynard, Minnesota is one of the many American communities that celebrates the Fourth with a festival.
