EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Police in Eden Prairie say they're investigating the suspicious death of a newborn.

A search warrant says the 2-month-old boy was taken by his mother to Fairview Southdale hospital on July 18. Hospital workers say the child was unresponsive when he arrived and was later pronounced dead.

The document says the mother told emergency workers she found her baby in his crib and her 3-year-old son was lying next to him. A doctor told investigators the mother was "unusually upset" when she learned an autopsy would be performed on the child. Reports say the doctor also told police the mother asked about death benefits soon after the baby had died.

No charges have been filed.
