Waite Park Man Ticketed After 3 Vehicle Crash in St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD - A Waite Park man was ticketed after allegedly causing a three-vehicle crash in St. Cloud. Police say the incident happened just after 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Washington Memorial Drive and University Drive South.

Witnesses told police 22-year-old Mahamud Ahmed Mohamed was heading north on Washington Memorial Drive when he went through a red light and struck a vehicle making a left turn, causing that vehicle to strike another car.

Mohamed was cited for a traffic light violation and no proof of insurance.

The driver in the turning vehicle, 19-year-old Abdi Nur Abdi of St. Cloud was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
