Police: Pine City Human Remains Came From Burial

PINE CITY, Minn. (AP) - Authorities say human remains found near Pine City are probably from a historic burial site.

The Pine County Sheriff's Office released details of its investigation Monday. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Anoka County Medical Examiner and Hamline University also participated in the investigation.

Reports say the remains were uncovered by construction workers on Oct. 13.

Authorities say they haven't determined where the remains will be relocated yet, but they intend to comply with cultural guidelines.
