ST. CLOUD - Edible art related books were on display at the St. Cloud State University Miller Center on Thursday for the 4th Annual Edible Book Festival.

The book festival is an open competition that allows anyone to submit entries created with edible materials to look like a book or be inspired by a book title, character or scene.

Roxanne Backowski took first place in the competition with the "From Caterpillar to Butterfly" display. Backowski will take home a $50 gift certificate as a prize. Backowski also won second place with the "Mr. Popper's Penguins" display. Hannah Topp-Schefers won third place with "The Thorn Birds" display.

Students, staff and community members were able to vote for their favorite display. A total of 183 votes were placed in the competition.
