UPDATE: House Damaged By Fire In Avon Township

AVON - The Avon, Holdingford and Albany Fire Department responded to a house fire at about 7:40 a.m. this (Wednesday) morning.

The Stearns County Emergency Communications Center says they received a 911 call from a passerby who noticed smoke coming from the roof of a home off County Road 155 in Avon Township.

A short time after the fire department were on the scene the homeowner, 36-year-old Jody Erin Abraham, came home and said the house was unoccupied.

The house sustained extensive damage from the fire.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Stearns County Sheriff's Office and the State Fire Marshall's office.

No injuries were reported.
