912 Regency Plaza Closing

ST. CLOUD - The 912 Regency Plaza is closing it's door at the end of the month.

The multi-level building in downtown St. Cloud used to be the home to the Mi Famiglia Restaurante.  When that business closed in October of 2010, the ownership group of the building kept the event center space open under the name 912 Regency Plaza, while they looked for a new restaurant to come in and take over.

Co-owner Dan Borgert says it was tough to rent out the space for events without a restaurant.  He says the bank foreclosed on the building in March.

Before the doors are locked for good, the play "Scrooge in Rouge" will hold it's last performance next Friday, December 23rd.  And the artwork will be on display in the art gallery through New Year's Eve.
