8th Street North Closed Due to Car Versus Bike Crash

ST. CLOUD -- An accident has temporarily shut down parts of 8th Street North in St. Cloud.

At 3:43 p.m. officer's responded to a car versus bike crash. Police say the vehicle was traveling west on 8th Street North. The bicyclist was traveling north across 8th Street North, when they were struck by the vehicle.

The  bicyclist was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of substantial injuries. The driver of the vehicle was also taken to the emergency room for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The St. Cloud Police Department says 8th Street North, from 10th Avenue to 11th Avenue North is shut down for westbound traffic.

Drivers are advised to find alternative routes.
