ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - An 84-year-old man has pleaded guilty to fatally shooting his son in Maplewood.

Reports say Pang Vang admitted Thursday during a hearing to shooting 36-year-old Chue Vang in the chest March 24.

He said via an interpreter that his wife said March 24 that she wanted a divorce. They argued in the kitchen and then his son, Chue Vang, intervened, saying his father should move out. Vang says that's when he shot his son.

Three days before the shooting the father and son also argued over installing cable television.

Pang Vang pleaded guilty to second-degree intentional murder. State sentencing guidelines call for a prison term of about 22 to 30 years, but the defense attorney said she would ask for less time Oct. 8.
