8-Year-Old Killed In Horse Trailer Crash

BELLE PLAINE (AP) - An 8-year-old girl has died in a crash involved a horse trailer in Scott County.

The Minnesota State Patrol says Laura Maloney, of Pine City, was killed when the truck in which she was a passenger rolled into the ditch after rear-ending a car that had slowed down on Highway 169 in Bell Plaine.

The patrol says the truck was pulling a horse trailer which landed on top of the truck as it rolled. The driver of the truck and another passenger were injured.
