8 Year Old Inspires St. Cloud’s First Crohn’s and Colitis Walk
ST. CLOUD - When Tim Gohman of St. Cloud was in preschool, he was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, an incurable bowel disease that requires lifelong medication.
Now, the 8 year old and his family are spreading the word about the very first St. Cloud "Take Steps Walk" to fight Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis.
He's been selected as the Honored Hero for the St. Cloud area's walk because of his committment to raising money and awareness of these diseases affecting nearly 1 in 200 people around the country.
Money raised will fund research, as well as camps for the estimated 150,000 kids suffering from digestive diseases in the United States.
The walk is today - Sunday, October 7 - beginning at 3p.m. at Lake George.
