MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A man who confessed to his involvement in a fatal bar fight in New Hope has been sentenced to more than six years in prison.

Daniele Wright earlier pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of 36-year-old John Hillstrom outside Outtakes Bar and Grill in June 2014. Wright was sentenced Monday to 74 months in prison.

Wright punched Hillstrom during a confrontation, causing the victim to hit his head on the pavement. Hillstrom died five months later.

Wright was originally charged with second-degree unintentional murder.
