6-Year-Old Dies in Fall From ATV in Northern Minnesota

BLACKDUCK, Minn. (AP) - Sheriff's officials say a 6-year-old girl has died after falling off an all-terrain vehicle driven by her mother in Beltrami County.

Authorities say the child, identified as Skyla Nesvig, fell from the ATV on private land about 1.5 miles west of Blackduck about 4 p.m. Monday. Family members and first responders tried to revive the girl, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Beltrami County sheriff's deputies and the Minnesota State Patrol are investigating.
