BROOKLYN PARK (AP) - Authorities say six people have been hurt in an apartment fire in Brooklyn Park.

One person who jumped from a third-floor window to escape the fire was taken to the hospital. Five others were treated for smoke inhalation and minor injuries.

Officials say the fire broke out about 1 a.m. Tuesday at Huntington Place Apartments. Firefighters led other tenants to safety. The Red Cross is assisting those who have been displaced by the fire.
