LINO LAKES -- Authorities say a fight broke out at an illegal rodeo in the northern Twin Cities, leading to the arrests of two people and leaving several people injured.

Lino Lakes police say the fight happened Saturday night during a party that drew hundreds of people to a rural property along Main Street. Police say the crowd then scattered.

Paramedics treated five people for minor injuries. Police say a man was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor assault, and the party's organizer was taken into custody for "facilitating the unlawful assembly."

Sgt. Mitch DeMars says a similar gathering has happened on the property at least once in the past year.

DeMars says the organizer is someone who rents out the space for the rodeo from the property owner.
