5 Hurt, 2 Serious, in Rear End Crash Near Maple Lake
MAPLE LAKE -- Five people are hurt, two with serious injuries, after a rear end crash in Wright County.
The incident happened just before 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Highway 55 and 53rd Street in Maple Lake Township.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 41-year-old Timothy Nolden, of Monticello, was making a left turn from Highway 55 into the beach access of Maple Lake when he was rear ended by another vehicle.
Nolden suffered non life-threatening injuries. 31-year-old Annette Klatt, of Buffalo, was the driver of the second vehicle. Klatt and her three passengers, 14-year-old Nina Davis, 14-year-old Grace Klatt, and 9-year-old John Klatt, were hurt in the crash.
Annette Klatt and Grace Klatt were taken to St. Cloud Hospital for life threatening injuries. Davis and John Klatt suffered non life-threatening injuries.
The state patrol says Annette, Grace and Davis were not wearing seatbelts.
