ST. PAUL (AP) — Prosecutors have charged five people in a series of armed robberies in St. Paul targeting buyers responding to fake Craigslist ads advertising cellphones.

No one was hurt in the robberies that took place between June 5 and July 1. But several victims were robbed at gunpoint of cash, cellphones and keys.

Three of those charged in Ramsey County court are brothers — 27-year-old Mark A. Smith of St. Paul, 23-year-old Jonathan D. Smith, whose residence is unknown, and 18-year-old Charles Noel-Deandre Edwards of Maplewood.

Also charged are 21-year-old William Chambers-Erby of Minneapolis and 23-year-old Danielle Anna Mari Brandenburger of St. Paul.

Brandenburger is Mark Smith's girlfriend and told authorities she drove the three brothers to several locations for the robberies.

Eleven people were robbed.
