Increasing temperatures and humidity values will be accompanied by chances for showers and thunderstorms late Friday night and Saturday, although many areas will likely remain dry through much of the holiday weekend.

Sunday will be the hottest day with the highest likelihood of thunderstorms, some possibly strong during the evening, as a cold front moves across the area.
