4 Killed on Minnesota Roads Over Holiday Weekend
ST. PAUL (AP) - The state Department of Public Safety says at least four people were killed on Minnesota roads over the three-day Memorial Day weekend, and about 360 people were arrested statewide for drunken driving.
The DPS says two of the victims were not wearing their seat belts.
The victims included:
- a 19-year-old man killed Saturday on Interstate 94 in Douglas County when he sideswiped a vehicle he was trying to pass;
- a 24-year-old woman killed Saturday in Le Sueur County after crashing into a power pole;
- a 49-year-old man who was walking in Hennepin County when he was hit by a car,
- and an 81-year-old woman killed Monday in Morrison County when she was broadsided by another vehicle on Highway 10 as she was making a left turn.
