GOODVIEW (AP) - A pedestrian has been struck and killed by a train in the Winona area for the third time in about six weeks.

Winona County sheriff's officials say a man in his late 50s was struck on the Amtrak tracks in Goodview about 8 p.m. Monday. Authorities say the warning lights at a nearby crossing were working at the time.

A 25-year-old Winona State University student was killed by a train Jan. 17th, and a 63-year-old man was killed Feb. 19th at a crossing in the same area. Authorities say the warning lights at a nearby crossing were working at the time.
