ST. CLOUD -- A new road construction project is getting underway in south St. Cloud Monday which will prompt traffic lane shifts.

The project will expand 33rd Street South to a four-lane divided roadway from County Road 75 to Southway Drive. A new frontage road will be created along 33rd Street South and connect to a roundabout at Southway Drive and 33rd Street.

The project work will force traffic lane shifts and delays along that stretch of 33rd Street South starting Monday.

Southway Drive will also be closed from 33rd Street to approximately 400 feet south of 33rd.

The traffic impacts will be in place until further notice.
