ELK RIVER -- A crash involving three semi trucks left two people hurt this (Thursday) morning in Elk River.

The state patrol says the incident happened just before 9:00 a.m. on Highway 169 at the intersection of 193rd Avenue Northwest.

Thirty-one-year-old Timothy Tillman of Minneapolis fell asleep at the wheel and rear ended another semi, causing that semi to rear end the semi in front of it.

Tillman and one of the other drivers, 25-year-old Brandon Belland of Milaca, suffered non life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The third driver, 21-year-old Steven Workman of Princeton, was not hurt.
