AVON -- Three people were hurt in a single vehicle rollover Thursday morning in Avon Township.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says the incident happened shortly before 7:30 a.m. on County Road 50 about a mile south of Avon.

Thirty-four-year-old Fabiola Ramirez of Melrose says her minivan ran off the road while she was trying to adjust her seat belt.

The minivan then hit a driveway and rolled into the ditch where it was penetrated by a steel pipe through the dashboard and rear window.

Ramirez and her passengers, 21-year-old Rosa Ramirez and 48-year-old Salusetia Cruz, both of Melrose, each were taken to St. Cloud Hospital with minor injuries.

All three were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
