GRANITE FALLS (AP) - Officials have confirmed the death of a second person shot in a Granite Falls home last week.

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety says the Hennepin County medical examiner's office Monday confirmed the death of 28-year-old Christopher Panitzke of Redwood Falls.

Authorities say Panitzke died Sunday of complications from multiple gunshot wounds.  He had been hospitalized at HCMC in Minneapolis. His death was ruled a homicide.

Panitzke and his 26-year-old girlfriend, Kara Monson, were shot when someone broke into Monson's Granite Falls home on Sept. 2. Monson died at the scene.

Authorities are still searching for Monson's former boyfriend in connection with both deaths. Authorities say he may be armed.
