MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Two Minneapolis teenagers have been charged in connection with a shooting outside a Brooklyn Center shoe store.

The shooting happened Sunday outside the Foot Locker store as several people were waiting for the new Nike Air Jordan shoes to go on sale. Prosecutors say that just before 10 a.m., officers on the scene heard about a dozen gunshots.

Prosecutors say one man was shot multiple times after a fight over the new shoes. He remains hospitalized.

The Hennepin County Attorney's Office says both defendants are 17. One faces attempted murder and assault charges, and the other is accused of aiding and abetting attempted murder and assault. They are not being named because they are charged as juveniles, but prosecutors have filed motions to certify them as adults.
